This portal is an introduction to the theme "carriages of Europe". It gives general information about historical carriages and has links to the websites of European museums with carriages. The museums represented in this portal form a network of colleagues. Each museum is responsable for the content of its own museumpages, and for the information given about its events, latest news and carriages.

The founders of this portal, the Museu Nacional dos Coches, Nationaal Rijtuigmuseum and Wagenburg, give support to the museums in the portal, but are not responsable for the information given by these museums. The founders act as editors of the portal, and they appreciate any suggestion for improving its quality.
